The Client:

The client is a prominent player in the insurance sector, dedicated to drawing in high-caliber insurance professionals. With a presence across the country, they have been recognized as Insurance Business Canada’s Top Brokerages for three consecutive years. They are seeking a Commercial Marketer/Underwriter to join their growing team in the GTA (Welland, Ontario). In this position, you will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and detailed analytical and underwriting abilities.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and assistance to the Commercial Brokers in securing quotes and finalizing Commercial Business transactions, both at the head office and across branch offices.
• Evaluate internal Commercial New Business applications, offering feedback, expertise, and approval to internal brokers.
• Provide market insight to Commercial Brokers and guidance as to what Insurance Company or Non-standard markets may be the best fit for the risk being quoted.
• Examine, underwrite, and audit Commercial policies/accounts to ensure alignment with Commercial underwriting guidelines and ensure the internal files are complete.
