Our client is a growing private mortgage fund based in Ontario, Canada. Offering unique opportunities to investors through mortgage trust funds and direct lender-to-borrower mortgages. The Opportunity:

As the Investment Representative, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing investors for pooled mortgage funds, as well as providing mortgage opportunities to investors interested in direct lender-to-borrower financing. Your day-to-day will also include maintaining investor relations, managing investment presentations, and facilitating all required paperwork.

 

 

What You Will Achieve in This Role:

  • Identify, source, and secure potential investors for mortgage fund trust.
  • Present and explain investment products to potential investors, ensuring they understand the potential risks and returns.
  • Meet with potential investors interested in direct lender-to-borrower mortgages and explain the opportunities available to them.
  • Accurately complete all investment paperwork ensuring it is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential investors.
  • Represent the company at any industry and networking event and source new investors.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and potential opportunities.

 

What You Must Bring to This Role:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial service industry, preferably in investment sales or mortgage lending
  • Active Ontario Mortgage Agent License required.
  • A deep understanding of investment products, specifically mortgage investments
  • Proven track record of investment sales and client relationship management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to meet potential investors and attend industry events required.
