Job Description

Bilingual Financial Controller

  • Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Participate in the month end process and support the finance shared service department.
  • Prepare internal management reports with appropriate analysis.
  • Participate actively in the budgeting process.
  • Prepare timely reports for management in order to assist in the decision making process.
  • Support various bids & proposals
  • Coordinate various audits, subsidy claims & participate in the preparation of the Canada statutory financial statements and tax filings

 

 

  • Qualifications

 

  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA; CPA, CGA or CPA, CMA) required (or in process of obtaining)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, within an accounting firm or a multinational organization
  • Willingness to be hands-on
  • Bilingualism (French / English)
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Good proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Good communication skills
  • Maturity and initiative; adaptability to new situations
  • Good organizational skills; attention to detail and respect for the work methodology. Ability and interest to use each opportunity to improve working methods and tools
