Background
The Program Implementation team ensures the development and implementation of operating models for select business unit and enterprise programs, policies and initiatives and manage and administer business readiness processes to support the progress of a capital project through the project lifecycle. The role of the office is to ensure standardization and consistency in the implementation of programs, managing developed operating models, including reporting, and monitoring processes, and administering business readiness processes.
What you will achieve in this role:
- Envisions project scope of work, initiates, prepares, and presents for execution, and terms of reference.
- Performs complete start to close-out project management on selected complex, high-risk projects as required to meet corporate commitments, with or without staff delegation.
- Reviews and approves draft Project Charter documents.
- Coordinates a number of complex projects under pressure.
- Develops and updates existing policies, procedures, and various manuals.
- Project management experience to manage assigned projects of high value and complexity and supervise staff engaged in all stages of project management from start to close-out.
- Organizational, interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills to coordinate complex projects under pressure.
- Develops frameworks to turn policies and programs into implementation.
- Manages projects independently and with the support of internal teams to deliver strategic objectives.
- Leads the development of reports, briefing notes and discussion papers, and presents policy briefings to senior management to respond to complex and politically sensitive issues.
- Builds partnerships throughout Metrolinx to strengthen corporate alignment between business unit activities and French Language Services objectives.
